A Welcome Message

I’ve considered and procrastinated, for over 18 months (slacker!) about getting a conversation going between you and me about digital imaging, and the fast changing world of photography.

I got my bum into gear, built this blog and gave the Imagetree training website a freshen up, a new lick of paint.

I’ll be changing the code and adjusting for a while yet, a bit of CSS tweaking here and there.

I’m especially interested in the role of software and computers in modern photography and that’s my motivation to write for you. There’s massive growth in sales of digital cameras worldwide, and there’s very strong growth in high quality cameras with interchangeable lenses. More and more of us are buying and shooting with SLR’s, trying hard to make amazing images. That’s what interests me. I’ll include images in most articles I write. Most are “click to enlarge” on the blog. I teach the visual and the technical so I’ll be including images, often. I shoot often. And after the shoot, refining my files on the computer is always a pleasure, the easy bit. The payoff.

This is the most amazing, exciting time of my photographic life. I love the whole digital thing.
